Clearfont Honored with Three Crystal Communicator Awards

ROCKVILLE, MD – Clearfont wins top honors in the 2006 Crystal Communicator Awards. The marketing and public relations firm was awarded two Crystal Awards of Excellence and one Award of Distinction for outstanding work in publicity and print media.

The Awards of Excellence were for a national media campaign on behalf of Lutheran Services in America (LSA), one of the nation’s largest non-profits, and for single media placement, ABC World News Tonight, also for LSA.

Clearfont also received a Crystal Award of Distinction for logo design. The logo was created for Montgomery Emergency Physicians (MEP).

From December 19, 2005 to February 1, 2006, Clearfont created a national media campaign to launch and promote LSA’s new online auction called Trading Graces. The campaign generated more than 30 positive story placements and more than 18 million print and broadcast media impressions.

Key placements included ABC World News Tonight, PBS, Washington Post, Washington Times, Philadelphia Daily News, Austin American-Statesman, Palm Beach Post and the Baltimore Sun. The news coverage helped LSA to raise its national profile as a leading human services organization, while increasing donations to the nonprofit.
